Your morning begins at Dong’s family home, where you may be welcomed with a short motorbike transfer before setting out together on foot to a lively neighborhood market for a fun cultural experience full of photo opportunities.
Wander through a vibrant tapestry of color and sound as Dong introduces you to the herbs, spices, and seasonal ingredients that define central Vietnamese cuisine. Along the way, he shares local insight, including the art of bargaining - an authentic glimpse into daily life in Hoi An.
From the market, return to the family home by boat, gliding gently along the water as the town slows behind you. Arrive to a moment of calm with iced tea or freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee, prepared just for you.
In Dong’s kitchen, the experience becomes hands-on and deeply personal. Guided by Dong and his family, you’ll prepare a seasonal, home-style Vietnamese meal, learning techniques passed down through generations. Together, you’ll cook four signature dishes that reflect the flavors of Hoi An and the surrounding region. Menus change with the seasons to ensure the freshest local ingredients, and vegetarian options are available upon request.
