Dong Nguyen grew up on a family farm in Hoi An, Vietnam, where daily life has always centered around family, food, and tradition. Today, he still lives with his parents, sister, and grandparents, alongside his wife and their children—continuing the same close-knit way of life that has shaped his experiences from the beginning.

At the heart of the family is Dong’s mother, whose cooking is a source of pride and inspiration. Her meals reflect the flavors and traditions of Hoi An—simple, fresh, and deeply rooted in generations of family recipes.
